About Steamatic

Steamatic offers restoration and cleaning services. Steamatic’s highly trained and certified technicians work with insurance agents and adjusters as well as residential and commercial clients to offer restoration services, including fire and smoke restoration, water mitigation, mold remediation, and contents recovery. Commercial and residential cleaning services include carpet and area rug cleaning, hard surface cleaning, air duct cleaning, and furniture and drapery cleaning. Steamatic is celebrating 48 years of franchising.

Franchise History

In 1948, two Fort Worth businessmen decided to start a carpet cleaning business. From the beginning, it was obvious that their company would be different and innovative. Bill Blackmon and Scott Mooring built a reputation of high standards and reliability. As their market expanded, an idea formed to sell their unique approach to cleaning through franchise opportunities. In 1967, Blackmon and Mooring formed Steamatic, Inc. to market franchises featuring this unique, new cleaning method. Combining their years of experience with this new cleaning technology, Blackmon and Mooring were able to provide a valuable opportunity to franchisees.
