RidgeviewTel(TM), LLC Contributes to Salida and Surrounding Communities
February 22, 2007 // Franchising.com // Salida, CO – February 22, 2007 – RidgeviewTel™, LLC, a rural broadband communications provider, is excited to announce the completion of their Salida area infrastructure and corresponding contributions to the Salida community. The radios that serve as the core infrastructure has been installed on the tower owned by KHEN, the PBS station whose tower is located on Tenderfoot Hill. In return for the use of this tower, RidgeviewTel™, LLC has contributed $1,200 to KHEN and is providing free high-speed internet to their studio.
RidgeviewTel™ LLC is a Wireless internet Service Provider (WiSP) based out of Longmont, Colorado. RidgeviewTel™ LLC has been providing affordable, high-speed, wireless Internet services to rural communities since 2004. "We focus on communities that are under-served by traditional telecom and cable providers, those larger companies see smaller communities, like Salida, as a large investment with a low return", said Vince Jordan, President/CEO of RidgeviewTel™. "However, we have found a way to supply these communities with affordable high-speed internet access that enables us to only charge a monthly service fee with no installation and equipment costs passed onto the customer," said Mr. Jordan.
Along with providing high-speed internet at a low cost RidgeviewTel™, LLC. is also committed to every community they serve. In addition to the free service and the donation to KHEN, they continue to provide free internet service to the Salida Fire Station, City Hall, Salida Airport, City Maintenance Offices, Salida Pool, Salida Chamber of Commerce and the Salida Sewage Treatment Plant.
