Sun Holdings Will Oversee Development Of 100 Papa John's Locations By 2029

Well-known mega franchisee Sun Holdings is at the center of Papa John’s largest domestic franchise development deal ever. Dallas-based Sun Holdings has agreed to oversee the opening of 100 new Papa John’s stores across Texas by 2029. Sun Holdings is the third largest franchisee in the U.S., operating multiple brands with more than 1,000 locations across 12 states and employing more than 22,000 people.

Papa John’s fits our criteria perfectly,” said Guillermo Perales, president and CEO of Sun Holdings. “We see tremendous potential in this premium brand, backed by an innovative culture and highly attractive economics. We know Texas well and see an immense opportunity to grow Papa John’s across this dynamic region.”

Louisville, Kentucky-based Papa John’s has more than 5,500 restaurants in 49 countries and territories.
