Multi-Unit Partners Open New Maaco Location in Mississippi

Tony Knight has been a successful Meineke Car Care Center multi-unit franchisee since 2004. Now, along with partner Kenneth Greer, he’s added a Maaco Collision and Auto Painting center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Before becoming a franchisee, Knight spent 12 years at a car dealership working in sales, finance, and management before deciding to set out on his own with his first Meineke center in 2004. He’s gone on to add four more Meineke locations in the Memphis area. When Knight was ready for a new challenge, he teamed up with Greer to build their first Maaco center in Tupelo. Both brands are part of Charlotte, North Carolina-based Driven Brands.

“After 15 years with Driven Brands, I was very happy with the people, the structure, and how they performed as a franchisor,” said Knight. “Even so, we still researched other brands before making our decision and found Maaco to be the best opportunity and best fit. One of the things that set them apart is the training they provide new franchisees. The Maaco operations team was on site for three weeks, supporting me and my technicians, to ensure we produce the highest quality repairs for our customers and exceed their expectations.”
