Multi-Unit Operators Set To Open Another Chicken Salad Chick In Texas

Husband-and-wife multi-unit franchisees Meggie and John Schissler are ready to open another Chicken Salad Chick location in the Lone Star State. The Texas-based duo’s Hazel5 Ventures already operates five of the brand’s locations. Their newest restaurant will be in Midlothian and is set to open September 22.
Meggie has long been affiliated with the brand. She worked in a corporate position as marketing assistant and says she fell in love with the brand. With little franchising or restaurant experience, the Schisslers began their business ownership journey by debuting the first Chicken Salad Chick’s restaurant in Fort Worth in 2016. Five years later, the couple has played an integral role in the brand’s Texas growth. Following their new Midlothian restaurant, the Schisslers look to debut another Dallas-Fort Worth area location in Southlake in early 2022.
“With love at first bite, John and I knew an opportunity lay ahead with Chicken Salad Chick and that ultimately drove us to start a new life in Fort Worth,” said Meggie. “From the first Texas location to now operating our sixth restaurant, we have come to truly love our community in Dallas-Fort Worth and our dedication to the brand has only grown stronger. Our goal is to continue spreading joy, enriching lives, and serving others in each of our communities just like Midlothian.”
