GPS Hospitality Adds Popeyes And Nears 400 Units

Tom Garrett is at it again. The CEO of GPS Hospitality, a Burger King and Popeyes franchisee with nearly 400 locations, is adding even more units. The newest deal will see the company add 11 Popeyes restaurants in its home state of Georgia.

This is the company's largest Popeyes deal since it announced its first expansion with the chicken quick service brand back in April of last year. GPS Hospitality now has 19 Popeyes locations in Georgia and West Virginia.

"Throughout our first year with Popeyes, we've seen how much our guests love being able to enjoy the flavors of Louisiana in their own backyard," said Tom Garrett, CEO of GPS Hospitality. "We're happy to further our commitment to the brand as they celebrate their 45th year bringing the flavors of New Orleans to guests worldwide."

Meanwhile, Garrett's company has grown to nearly 400 locations in less than 5 years and now employs more than 10,000 people across the country. About a quarter of its restaurants are in Georgia. The remaining 395 restaurants are in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
